Liverpool are now set to “turn their focus” to signing forwards after completing a loan deal for Ronald Araujo.
The Merseyside giants secured a season-long loan move for the Barcelona centre-back amid concerns over depth in the backline. The Uruguayan admirably agreed to take a pay cut to help facilitate the move.
Andoni Iraola’s men are currently in talks with PSG over Bradley Barcola and are believed to hold some additional interest in Ibrahim Mbaye.

Judging by recent reporting, we would have to imagine that Mbaye, whom PSG appear to be pushing out the door at Parc des Princes, is a name high up on the Reds’ list.

Although it does raise a further question over whether Liverpool’s pursuit of forwards would even end at just the Senegal international and his PSG teammate.
Liverpool could sign an Alexander Isak backup
Nothing underlined Alexander Isak’s importance to Andoni Iraola’s setup more than the minutes that followed his substitution.
Mind, it was clear that the Reds need to figure out some kind of solution for when Florian Wirtz is likewise off the pitch.
But with the Sweden international, we know there’s likely to be a period of time during which he’s sidelined with injury. At the very least, we are going to have to manage his minutes throughout a potential 50 to 60-plus-game season.

As a Liverpool supporter, I am trembling, given our lack of activity in the market.I always pray that our deal with PSG doesn’t collapse. At the same time I pray that FSG can see what I am seeing in relation to the signing of defensive midfielder, right full back, in the mold of Spence who 2 in 1,in terms of versatility. If we can.get Endrik on loan and another Central defender, we can fight tooth and nail.I careless about being duplicatative in my assertions because I want to emphasize my wishes to that effect. I won’t stop emphasis until the concerns are addressed.
I still say we should go for Rayan. Premier League proven, is a right sided winger and has worked with Iraola at Bournemouth. And Iraola admires his abilities.
Well season number three and still the powers that be ignore the need for a real no holds barred tackling defensive number 6/maybe they think Barcola can defend given the silly money that PSG are hoping some silly club comes along and pays…just buy Rayan or Mbaye and as well Fernandez Pardo….So ibviously Hughes and Co missed the shift Djed Spence put in for England – he is a top buy for the money and should not be missed. YNWA
