Cody Gakpo had reportedly decided to join Manchester City in recent days and seemed to be on his way to the Etihad Stadium, but after rejecting an £80m bid from Enzo Maresca’s side, the winger is now set to remain with the Reds.
Meanwhile, Giorgi Mamardashvili is reported to have been the subject of an enquiry from Nottingham Forest over the past 48 hours, although nothing has since materialised in the form of an official bid for the goalkeeper.
